If you are concerned about the source of the foods you eat, please take a moment to tell your Senators to co-sponsor the Cloned Food Labeling Act »

With very little data to go on, the FDA has decided that milk and meat from cloned animals and their offspring are safe to eat. This decision to allow the sale of meat and milk from cloned animals leaves consumers at risk and releases another questionable technology into the food supply.

There is an underlying objection here, based on ethical and animal welfare concerns. But despite the widespread public disapproval, the FDA is not planning to require labeling of products from cloned animals.

Without labeling, you won't be able to choose whether or not to buy meat from clones. Unless we tell Congress to support labeling of cloned foods, the FDA will keep already wary consumers in the dark.
